You are a knight guarding a tower, your superior told you never to venture inside it though he never mentioned why. You manage to stay out of the tower until one day feeling bored your curiosity gets the better of you, and you open the door and venture inside. The moment you step across the threshold the door closes behind you and locks. "Now how am I going to get out?" you think to yourself.
You can either [[explore the room->Ground Floor Room]] or [[Climb the stairs to the next floor->First Floor]]The stairs you just climbed disappear behind you leaving no way for you to return to the previous floor. You shed a silent tear realising that you may never see Manny the mannequin again. "Well best get on with it" you think to yourself.
You can either [[explore the room->First Floor Room]] or [[Climb the stairs to the next floor->Second Floor]]As before the stairs you just climbed disappear behind you leaving no way for you to return to the previous floor.
You don't know how long you've been trapped in the tower, however what you do know is that you are starting to feel hungry. You decide to search the room for any morsels of food that may still be here. The only thing that you manage to find is a brightly coloured mushroom, do you eat it?
[[Yes I'll take the risk->Mushrooms Are Magic]]
I think it would be best not to risk it. [[Climb the stairs to the next floor->Third Floor]]As before the stairs you just climbed dis... blah blah you know the rest.
[[Explore the room->Third Floor Room]]
[[Climb the stairs to the next floor->Top Floor]]You have reached the top floor of the tower. As you look around the room you see a swirling portal and an open window.
Here's your final choice, will you enter the [[portal->Grandma's House]] or leap out of the [[window->Free At Last]]
(print: (passage:)'s name)

The room is filled with wooden packing crates, most of them are empty however two are still intact. You decide to open them to see if they contain anything that might be useful.
The first crate contains a roll of bubble wrap and the second crate contains a mannequin. You can only take one item, which one will you choose?
[[Bubble Wrap]]
[[Mannequin]]As you hold the bubble wrap in your hands you can't resist popping a few bubbles. Days turn into weeks turn into months turn into years and you're still popping bubbles, you're so engrossed you even forget to die.
The end.You remove the mannequin from its crate and place it upright on the floor in front of you. "Great!" you think as you look at the mannequin, "at least I won't be short of company". You wave goodbye to the mannequin after promising it that you'll return after you've explored the tower further.
[[Climb the stairs to the first floor->First Floor]]The room appears empty, until you spy a skeleton lying crumpled up in a corner clutching a piece of bubble wrap in it's hand. Knowing how addictive bubble wrap can be you decide not to approach the skeleton and instead [[climb the stairs to the second floor->Second Floor]]A warmth spreads throughout your body and you find yourself in a field filled with the most beautiful and fragrant flowers you have ever seen. As you skip and gambol about you can't help but marvel at how wonderfully fun life is. In fact you seem to be having so much fun, that the author can't help but join you in gamboling about. The reult being the story never gets finis...It seems that the portal has transported you to your grandma's house. You breathe a sigh of relief at your good fortune.
Your grandma enters the room. "Oh hello dear I didn't hear you come in, why don't you sit down and have a cup of tea".
"Thanks granny I think I will". You sit down and pour yourself a cup of tea.
Your grandma starts to leave the room. "I just have to go and get sometihng dear, I won't be long".
"OK granny", you reply. A few minutes later your grandma appears in the doorway with a large book in her arms. "Oh no" you think to yourself, "it's the family photo album".
The end.Steeling yourself for the task ahead, you leap out of the window and amazingly land unscathed on the ground below. You waste no time in breaking down the door of the tower with the pommel of your sword. Scooping Manny the Mannequin into your arms, you quit the environs of the tower and happily live out the rest of your lives as man and mannequin.
The end.As you explore you manage to disturb a ghost who drops itching powder down the back of your armour before disappearing. "Why do things like this always happen to me?" You think to yourself. There are of course many reasons why bad things happen to people, maybe it's because the author wanted to explore the theme of human suffering, or because the author is a sadist. Who knows?
You quickly remove your armour, and cursing your bad luck (plus scratching yourself) [[climb the stairs to the next floor->Top Floor]]
